Job Summary:
Exposure to a broad range of media/radio
disciplines.
Responsibilities
• Rotates through various radio functions or focuses on one
specific area, e.g., sales, programming, events, etc.
• Conducts research & analysis.
• Assists in general office tasks.
• Prepares & delivers reports as required.
• Learns job processes/requirements in
assigned functions.
• Serves as an apprentice in assigned function.
• May work with other interns on projects.
• Assists in developing and broadening interest in Star

Internship will require the minimum required 135 hour served to receive 3 credit hours at Florida Gulf Coast University.
Depending on the length of the internship be
it 10 or 15 weeks, the weeks will break down into 5 main focuses:
I,e, 2 weeks - Sales, 2 weeks - Programming, 2 Weeks - Promotions, 2
Weeks - Production 2 Weeks - Engineering, based on a 10 week internship, 3
weeks each if 15 weeks.. My goal is to provide hands on training by
myself of operating a radiostation on a day to day experience. The intern
will be provided a test after every area of focus is complete (every 2-3 weeks)
and one final test at the completition of the internship that must be passed
with a score of 85% of 100% to earn the credited hours towards Florida Gulf
Coast University. As well they will have to complete all 135 hours
required in the length of entire internship, be it 9-10 hours a week. My
schedule is flexible, however best time available for training are 12 Noon -
8pm Monday - Wednesday, Thursdays 10am-2pm and every other Saturday 12Noon -
8pm, Fridays are available if neccessary.
