Description
Path2Freedom, Inc., a local nonprofit dedicated to
fighting against human trafficking in Southwest Florida, is looking for an
intern interested in learning all aspects of working for a nonprofit
organization and will provide the student with a basic understanding of the
nonprofit world. The intern who fills this position should expect to learn
about fundraising events, giving presentations, managing volunteers, community
outreach, maintaining a database, and writing newsletters.
Responsibilities
- Assist with events (Golf tournament and Gala)
- Schedule and coordinate speaking engagements for the founder and president
- Assist in the creation of a monthly newsletter
- Give presentations on human trafficking in the community
- Manage volunteer database
- Assist with organizing the Human Trafficking Symposium at FGCU
- Create or update databasesRequirementsStudents applying for this internship must have strong communication skills and should be majoring in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or Journalism. Applicants should also have strong writing skills. Only interns proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications should apply.
