Academic Internship at 3D Architectural Solutions (3DAS)
Marketing Intern-Community Relations Department

Opportunity to develop your marketing portfolio by marketing for a unique visualization company for the real estate industry. Your focus of market research will be centered around the user experience (UX) for clients needing 3D architectural renderings, animations, and virtual reality (VR / AR / MR) services. Responsibilities and Learning Outcomes

  • Learn user experience (UX) design and implement marketing strategies around that research.
  • Create and implement internet marketing content from UX research into blogs, social media, and other multi-channel marketing systems.
  • Assist with branding 3DAS, LLC into distributable formats beyond the standard business card and brochure.
  • User Testing: Develop and analyze customer satisfaction and related research to benchmark and assess the effectiveness of marketing programs.
  • Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Willingness to learn new skills, deeply understand client’s needs and adapt to changes in technology.
  • Create and edit existing copy that fully engages potential clients.
  • Implement UX research and copy into web sites, blogs, and social media (Instagram, Pinterest and others focused more on imagery).
  • Willingness to operate independently, take initiative and follow through with assignments.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, and Ppt.)
  • Copywriting skills, WordPress / web site management, and general understanding of the real estate industry.


Working Hours

  • 150 hours within the academic semester required for students seeking 3 academic credit hours. This will vary dependent upon student availability and program requirements.

Job Tasks:

General

Location: Naples, FL
Working closely with the Director of Development, the Development Assistant/Intern will plan and deliver events to friends and donors of The Everglades Foundation (briefings, lectures, receptions) and also assist on our airboat tours for donors out in the southern Everglades. Must be a very polished college student with excellent verbal and written skills who is excited to learn event planning and donor relations.  There is some level of administrative work associated with the position: recording RSVPs, emailing event attendees, preparing simple reports.  Some donor database work may also occur.  
Position is primarily during daytime hours except when we have an event -- those are often in the evening and occasionally on weekends.  Events take place throughout Southwest Florida.  Solid understanding of all Microsoft Office Products. We are a Mac organization and use Google mail for email. 
This is a great opportunity for a student to learn about environmental policy and activism while learning how to plan and execute sophisticated events and meetings.  Our intern will go to sleep at night tired but extremely happy because he/she spent the day working hard to protect and restore America's Everglades. 
Approx. Hours Per Week: Up to 40

Position Philosophy
This position will be responsible for assisting the organization in the development and implementation of its marketing, advertising, and events.  This will be accomplished by working closely with the marketing manager, purchasing team, store staff, and community.  This position will learn how to manage the Sunshine Ace Hardware brand, create and implement accurate store signage, execute efficient online and social advertising, perform marketing analytics, assist in store and community events, and help out with company culture and internal assignments.  This position must be motivated, high energy, enthusiastic, creative as well as analytical, and eager to learn.  Being technically skilled in computer knowledge and software such as Google Apps for Business (docs, sheets, slides), sending/receiving email, Photoshop, Publisher is a plus.  This position will be able to cross functionally learn different departments within the organization and how they relate to marketing, advertising, and events.  This internship program will provide valuable, real-world experience and will offer an opportunity to learn from a company with a respected local and national reputation.  This Bonita Springs support office based internship program is available to local college students in Southwest Florida.

Education
Candidate preferably pursuing a degree in marketing, advertising, business management or directly related field with past retail experience.

Availability
15-20 hours per week.

$10-11 an hour
