The Everglades Foundation Development Intern
Location: Naples, FL
Working closely with the Director of Development, the Development Assistant/Intern will plan and deliver events to friends and donors of The Everglades Foundation (briefings, lectures, receptions) and also assist on our airboat tours for donors out in the southern Everglades. Must be a very polished college student with excellent verbal and written skills who is excited to learn event planning and donor relations. There is some level of administrative work associated with the position: recording RSVPs, emailing event attendees, preparing simple reports. Some donor database work may also occur.
Position is primarily during daytime hours except when we have an event -- those are often in the evening and occasionally on weekends. Events take place throughout Southwest Florida. Solid understanding of all Microsoft Office Products. We are a Mac organization and use Google mail for email.
This is a great opportunity for a student to learn about environmental policy and activism while learning how to plan and execute sophisticated events and meetings. Our intern will go to sleep at night tired but extremely happy because he/she spent the day working hard to protect and restore America's Everglades.
Approx. Hours Per Week: Up to 40
