Summary
Provide support for Library Reading Festival and related events
Responsibilities and duties:
Work with Library Development Coordinator to coordinate event logistics including planning, promotion and on-site execution
Assist with creating and distributing marketing materials
Maintain existing marketing
Access database, which includes donor and prospect information, event attendee and mailing lists
Maintain event documents
Participate in event related activities and meetings
Assist with developing and distributing approved press releases
Maintain press coverage files
Update media press kit materials
Assist with posting event information to industry and calendar websites and publications
Develop and post social media marketing for events
Qualifications and skills:
Completed a minimum of four semesters of college with focus on public relations, special-events planning and marketing
Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously
Proficient in use of MS Office
Ability to present ideas and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Social media savvy.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications
Terms:
$10 per hour
20 hours per week
October – April
