Communication/Marketing Internship with Missy Balsam Yoga

Description: Opportunity to develop your communications portfolio and marketing skills by supporting the branding and launch of new products and services of a solo entrepreneur. You will research the current market and assist with developing the strategy and implementation of a new digital platform and public relations campaign for my multi-faceted business.

 

                 I am a solo entrepreneur who has been running my own yoga business for 9 years. I teach   group classes and workshops as well as a private clientele in Naples and beyond, and am looking to grow my business from a local to a national level. I am also a professional musician/singer of inspirational music. I released a CD in June 2014 to great success and am about to launch my first studio album. I have in the past few years been teaching and performing at festivals all over the country and am looking to expand even further.

Responsibilities and Learning Outcomes:

▪               Learn how to implement, launch and maintain social media content calendars and campaigns utilizing Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn

▪               Assist in the design, development, distribution and measurement of email campaigns targeting various niche markets

▪               Develop online marketing strategies for brand awareness and product sales

▪               Assist in the release, marketing and launch of my first studio album

▪               Attend meetings with marketing and branding professionals and implement action plans and strategies

▪               Assist in design, development and implementation of merchandise to accompany album launch

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

▪               Interest in and proficiency with social media, specifically Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube

▪               Passion for branding and online marketing

▪               Interest in yoga, spirituality, personal growth and/or music would be helpful

▪               Interest in public relations, publicity and manifesting media for a message

▪               Self-starter, willingness to operate independently, take initiative and follow through with           assignments

▪               Interested in a fun, collaborative one-on-one mentorship and coaching environment

Required Qualifications:

▪               Completion of Introduction to Marketing, Principles of PR, PR Writing or equivalent

▪               Social media experience and savvy, including analytics and Facebook ads/insights

▪               Excellent writing and communication skills

▪               High level of personal initiative
