TITLE:                                   Media/Marketing/Broadcasting/Communication Internship

 

PERFORMANCE

PROFILE SOURCE:           Internship

 

DEPARTMENT:                  Technology Center

 

REPORTS TO:                    Technology Director

 

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Volunteer/Intern are responsible for: providing a vital support in the development and day-to-day production of BGCCC organization. Plan, teach, research, and produce a teen news cast, talk show, social media, PSA, commercials with our Club members. Teach our members all aspect of production: research and interview guest, research news stories, pitch new ideas, create, and choose music for production and work with our Marketing Department.

 

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

 

Knowledge

 

Demonstrate knowledge of principles related to technology, including computer operations, word processing with a high degree of accuracy, good grammar, strong customer service skills and strong attention to details. Must enjoy working with children and teens.

 

Education

Some college preferred.

Relationships

Internal:

Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff, including supervisor (professional and volunteer).

 

Other requirements

CPR, first aid certifications helpful.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is conducted in the Administrative office, Club setting, indoor and outside.

 

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

·         Maintain a high energy level.

·         Be comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.

·         Exchange ideas, facts and information clearly and concisely in all communications.

·         Sit for four-plus hours per day.  Standing and bending are necessary to this role.

·         See and hear and successfully communicate – including ability to speak, write and read with comprehension.
